Black Carpenter Bee

Xylocopa Latipes also known as the broad-handed carpenter bee or tropical carpenter bee, is a species of carpenter bee widely dispersed throughout Southeast Asia. It constructs nests by burrowing into wood and is found in warm tropical climates. These large bees grow up to 35mm long, have iridescent wings, and breed in nest holes in trees.
